Jinto sat in his quarters, the knife set in his hands. HIs father had come and amongst a torrent of reassurances Jinto had managed to get him to go home again. He sat on the edge of the bed his fingers running over the strong firm and ornate design.

John sits close, his knees nearly touching the Athosian boy's, eyes trained on his drawn, thin face. All the things he feels, all the hard questions he's asked, all the pain he keeps so well hidden is plain on Jinto's face---it's as if he's a mirror for them all. The tale comes to a crescendo, and John closes his eyes, brow pinched, cursing himself for not finding them....for not stopping this all...for the fact that Jinto, above all the others, the adults who knew their place in the team...that Jinto had to suffer this.

"It's a hard thing to imagine, Jinto...that inside us all is something dark enough, horrible enough to make us do something like this. It makes it very easy for us to just say the Wraith are evil because they do evil things....but as you get older, you realize, everyone has the capacity for it."

His fingers touched Jinto's where they traced and retraced the carvings on the ornate knife in his lap. He'd seen the same blade strapped to Halling's thigh--and he smiled in recognition.

"I see your father came to see you? We were all.....very very worried, Jinto--Teyla, me, your Father....I know what you went through was horrible...and I know you've come backed changed..you can't not from something like this."

Jinto nodded quietly, not quite understanding, but accepting. "Yes he did. I am sorry I worried you." He replied looking at him curiously. "My father said I had changed as well."
